Rondò
Zenale’s Choir Loft Returns to Brera
The return to the Pinacoteca of Bernardo Zenale’s five superb 16th-century panels with Angels Singing and Playing Music is deeply enmeshed with over 1,000 years of Milanese history. Originally designed to adorn the organ loft in the church of Santa Maria di Brera, they have been silent witnesses of the way the city has changed and of the historical and political events that have affected the buildings in which they are housed. Rondò, Zenale’s Choir Loft Returns to Brera celebrates and recounts that fascinating history.
