SOPHIE GALLAGHER

Soprano

Sophie Gallagher made her debut in Italy as Emmie in Albert Herring for the Maggio Musicale in 2016. She graduated from the Royal College of Music in London in 2017, winning the Josephine Baker award. She won the Sacred Music International Competition in Rome in September 2020. She currently lives in Florence.

Sophie’s engagements in opera and concert include concerts at the Queen’s Gallery in Buckingham Palace, at the Pinacoteca di Brera in Milan, at St. John’s Smith Square in London, at The Peninsula and Correspondents Club in Hong Kong, at the iSing Festival in the Grand Theatre of Nanjing and at the Suzhou Centre for Culture and Art with the Suzhou Symphony Orchestra in China.

She sang in the production of Mozart’s Requiem staged by Raphaël Pichon at the Festival d’Aix-en-Provence. In 2021, she performed in Beethoven’s Fidelio at the Opéra de Paris and in concerts with Raphaël Pichon – Pygmalion – for the Salzburg Festival and for the BBC Promenade Concerts in London.
