Peter and the Wolf

It is summer, the landscape is idyllic, immersed in greenery with a house, a large garden and a fence all around it. Outside, in the fields, are a large tree and a pond. But not too far away there is a dark and mysterious forest.

Peter and the Wolf is one of those unashamed musical fairy tales that invariably fascinate children and that one never forgets. With music and words by Sergey Prokofiev, and narrated by Philippe Daverio, the concert in chamber music form with an open rehearsal is the first event to be performed by the soloists with the Orchestra Sinfonica di Milano Giuseppe Verdi.
