“Once upon a time, in the heart of the city, there was a huge library in a building called Brera. One day the library began to read.”

Thomas Stearns Eliot (1888 – 1965) was an American poet and critic. He wrote and published Little Gidding, the fourth poem in his Four Quartets, in 1942. Focusing on the unity of past, present and future, he used writing to emphasise the importance of that unity, so necessary for salvation.
