Marco Gambino is an Italian writer and actor who currently lives in London.

Giovanni Boccaccio (1313 – 1375) wrote the Decameron between 1348 and 1353. In the work, which consists of 100 novellas, he tells of a group of ten young people who shelter in a secluded villa outside Florence for ten days in order to escape the Black Death. While there, they decide to tell each other tales in order to pass the time enjoyably.
